The techniques of Flowing Color Oil Painting (FCOP), created by the well known painter Arthur Liu, is based on the ink splashing technique of traditional Chinese Painting. FCOP was created by Mr. Liu, the only Chinese artist in the world to have won a patent in the field of US arts (patent #US7572,126B2) in Aug. 2009. After two decades of research and invention, Mr. Liu developed an oil painting technique that reminds people of traditional Chinese Painting in that it is full of detail and connotations and also relates to Western painting by producing abstract and colorful impressions. It is an unprecedented original oil painting technique that combines Eastern and Western painting techniques.
